Project

This app is great for college students who want a refreshing beverage before or after class. You can view menus, photos & reviews from previous customers, and access directions to the most convenient location. This app is available to use on your phone, tablet, and computer.

Tools

Sketch, Photoshop, Xd

Challenge

When users search “bubble tea” or “boba” on a food locating app, it gets mixed in with other desserts and beverages that are similar but not quite it. Customers have driven to cafes expecting boba on the menu and are disappointed when they don’t have it. It becomes difficult to filter through each cafe online trying to find a cafe that guarantees it. Time is wasted, customers are hangry, displeased with the experience, and are likely to not rely on the app they used again.

Persona Development

The user and stories are from research done by Ben Xia and My Viking Voice.

First Iteration

Key Takeaways

  • For the main screen on the left, users felt that the search button was unnecessary because in the second screen you’d have to click to search again at the top.

  • For the second screen on the right, users felt that the size of the search bar was not big enough to scale for when they would touch to search.

Second Iteration

next steps

Present to the team and collaborate on researching legitimate boba cafes to add onto the app.
