Music

Neurosity’s music app user experience.

the project

Neurosity’s headset, Notion, is the first productivity trainer for your brain. Notion knows when you are in the zone and keeps you there. In one of my previous projects I worked with Neurosity’s team to create a journey from shipping the device to the onboarding process. In this project I worked with the team to create the user’s login process with one of their first apps; the music app.

current journey

challenge

  • Once the device is set up and connected to wifi you are taken to a portal: console.neurosity.co. From there, there is no indication of how to either

    • Download apps for Notion

    • Music app tab

  • Users will have to manually go to music.neurosity.co to use the music app.

discovery

  • On iOs, according to a study by Sara Perez on Tech Crunch, 47% of users found their apps through the app store while 53% of Android users did the same on Google Play. It is extremely common for users to search for applications through the app store.

  • Some devices come with integrated apps such as the calculator, clock, or calendar on a smartphone.

  • When you’re on a web browser on your smart phone, some websites issue a pop up that asks if yo'u’d like to continue on the web browser or open up their app.

first iteration

In my previous project, the onboarding process lands the user on a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet on console.neurosity.co

On the left side I’ve added a “Music” tab.

The music tab will take you to music.neurosity.co.

A pop up will ask if you’d like to use the account that is currently signed on to or to log onto another one.
